Confessions of Yet Another Speck >>> Confessions of Another Teenage Girl
I like the new title better. It's a closer representation of what I want all this to be about right now.
"Another Teenage Girl" implies that I am normal. If you don't know me personally, my writings should help determine that there is nothing normal about me except for obvious outer shell things. Beneath it all... I can't begin to describe. For those of you that do know me, I hope you realize that you are dealing with a crazy right hurr. I love you :)
"Yet Another Speck" for me implies something from one of my favorite adult Dr. Seuss books. I say adult not because it's porno or a love story, but it's a story with actual meaning. I know there is a word for this, but I can't remember, but it's like with the book Animal Farm that it's a short story with little characters and everything but it conveys a deeper meaning.
Yet another speck refers to the book "Horton Hears a Who." This, along with "The Lorax," have become my favorites recently. Horton is the only one that hears the little people and can understand that there is a different life beyond his own, and this other life has significance. He conveys the message that every little thing matters, no matter how big or how small or from who. I want to be like Horton, dependable and able to hear and understand. Meanwhile, I will be like my own little speck and hope that people will do that for me via this blog. In general, I hope that people care, but this is my voice, my opinion, my speck, and it matters.
